Stora Amundö is easily accessible, with ample parking and convenient bus connections via bus 82 from Marklandsgatan. The island features a well-marked nature trail approximately 4.5 kilometers long, guiding visitors through diverse landscapes and informative signposts. The trail meanders through Kungsviken, Havshuvudet, and the northern part of the island, offering a mix of flat and hilly terrains. The southern section, in particular, is quite rugged, adding an element of adventure to your walk. For birdwatchers, the best spots are Havshuvudet and Hästhagen during spring, and Kungsviken and Havshuvudet in winter. However, note that Strandängen is off-limits from March 15 to July 31 to protect nesting birds.
